Checking the Windows Media Player
You need Windows Media Player version 6.4 or later.
If you have an older version, download the latest Media Player here.
When you load this page, you ought to see a Media Player that can deliver both a video and an audio signal. If there are no problems, the player will disappear and you will see text on a green background.

Check the Bandwidth
If you dial in via DSL, you should achieve a bandwidth of at least 300 kbit/sec.
If you dial in via ISDN, you should achieve a bandwidth of at least 40 kbit/sec.
