Notes for system administrators
Besides a suitable current player (WMP 9, Real Player 10.x, Flash 9), dedicated ports and protocols are used.
Suitable settings are given below:
WMP / Windows Media:
- MMS / RTSP: TCP port 1755 ingoing/outgoing
- HTTP: TCP port 80 ingoing/outgoing
- used mime-types: video/x-ms-asx, application/x-mplayer2, video/x-ms-asf, video/x-ms-asf-plugin, video/x-ms-wmv
RM / Real Media:
- RTSP: TCP ports 554, 4040, 7070, 8080, 443 ingoing/outgoing
- HTTP: TCP port 80 ingoing/outgoing
- used mime-types: audio/x-pn-realaudio
FLV / Adobe Flash:
- RTMP: TCP port 1935 ingoing/outgoing
- HTTP: TCP port 80 ingoing/outgoing
- used mime-types: application/x-shockwave-flash
